The basic flow

1

Create event

Name the service, confirm source language, and check the church link.

2

Connect audio

Use phone, laptop mic, wireless receiver, or sound desk feed.

3

Start stream

Voco sends audio to Deepgram and receives source-language text.

4

Share link

Attendees scan the QR code and choose their language.

5

Export transcript

After the service, copy or download the cleaned transcript.

  2. 2Name the churchChoose the church name carefully because it appears in admin, billing, and attendee surfaces.
  3. 3Choose the slugOn Voco Church, the permanent church URL uses the slug. Treat it like a printed bulletin link.
  4. 4Check the owner emailUse an inbox the church can keep access to, not a temporary personal account.

Run the first live test

  • Create a test event named clearly, such as Sunday 11am Test.
  • Start with Fast transcription mode and browser-default audio processing.
  • Open the attendee page on a phone before speaking into the source microphone.
  • Choose a non-English language on the phone so you verify the full translation path.
  • Stop the stream deliberately at the end and check the transcript export.

Before Sunday

Do not first test this during the sermon

Run a two-minute test in the room before the service. Most issues are audio input selection, gain, Wi-Fi, or choosing the wrong microphone.
