Voco started with a simple problem: a congregation where a third of the people couldn't follow the sermon. We looked at the existing solutions. They were expensive, clunky, or designed for conference halls — not churches with volunteer AV teams and inconsistent WiFi.
The word vocois Latin for “I call” — drawn from Acts 2, where the disciples spoke in tongues and every person heard in their own language. That story has always struck us as one of the most remarkable moments of inclusion in history. Language stopped being a barrier. Everyone was in the room.
That's what we're building towards. A world where no one sits in the back row of a church service feeling lost, unable to follow, waiting for someone to translate a phrase here or there. Real-time, accurate, affordable translation — for every church, not just the ones with a big technology budget.
