What £15/week actually means
The real cost of running Voco for a 1-hour service — Deepgram for transcription, DeepL for translation, WebSocket infrastructure — is about £1.25. We charge £15/week because we're building something permanent: better accuracy, more integrations, audio TTS, and a team that responds to your Sunday morning support question.
That's less than a round of coffees for your tech team. And it serves your whole congregation.
Questions
Can I try it before paying?
Yes — 7 days free, no credit card required. That's one full Sunday plus the whole week to test. We designed the trial to cover a real service, not a 4-hour clock.
What happens after the trial ends?
Your account stays open. You can't run live sessions, but your transcripts are safe for 90 days. If you subscribe within 90 days you get everything back immediately.
Is £15/week really unlimited attendees?
Yes. We charge for the service, not the seat count. 5 people or 500 — same price. The only thing that scales your cost is adding more languages, which is already included.
Do you support audio translation?
Not yet — Phase 1 is text only. Audio TTS (via Azure Cognitive Services Neural voices) is planned for Phase 2 at ~£25/week. Text broadcasts first anyway as a reliability safety net, so most attendees are well served by the text-only tier.
What audio hardware do I need?
Nothing beyond what you already have. For best accuracy, run an AUX send from your sound desk into a USB interface (Behringer UM2 ~£28 is popular). In a pinch, a laptop built-in mic works fine for smaller rooms.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing. No contract, no penalty. You keep access until the end of the billing period.
Is my data secure?
Transcripts are stored per-org in Supabase with Row Level Security. Only your org can access your transcripts. We don't use transcript data to train models. You can delete all transcripts from Settings at any time.
Do you offer annual billing?
Not yet, but it's coming. It will offer the equivalent of ~2 months free. Email us if annual billing is a requirement for your church's budget cycle.
