What you need
- A Voco Church plan subscription (OBS and ProPresenter overlays are included)
- ProPresenter 6 or later
- A live Voco session (the overlay requires an active service to display text)
Step-by-step ProPresenter setup
- 1Get your overlay URL from VocoIn your Voco dashboard, navigate to Integrations → ProPresenter and copy the Web Item overlay URL for your desired output language.
- 2Add a Web Item in ProPresenterIn ProPresenter, go to the layer editor and add a Web Item (View → Web Item or equivalent in your version). Paste the Voco overlay URL.
- 3Position the caption areaResize and position the Web Item to display as a lower third or bottom caption bar. The overlay has a transparent background so it layers cleanly over your existing slides.
- 4Set the refresh and display optionsThe Voco overlay auto-updates in real time — no refresh interval needed. Leave the web item always visible during the service or use ProPresenter's show/hide controls.
- 5Test with a live sessionStart a Voco session and speak a test sentence. Captions should appear in the ProPresenter overlay within ~500ms.
Multi-language captions
Voco supports separate overlay URLs per output language — you can display Spanish captions on Screen 1 and Mandarin on Screen 2, for example. Each language has its own Web Item URL in the Voco dashboard.
Troubleshooting
- If captions don't appear: check that Voco is live (not in test mode) and that your overlay URL is for the correct language
- If text is too small: resize the Web Item frame in ProPresenter to increase the display area
- If the overlay flickers: ensure the ProPresenter computer has a stable internet connection
