ProPresenter live translation — how to add captions via Voco

Voco can place live translated captions inside a ProPresenter screen workflow using a web page object. ProPresenter's interface and licensing have changed across releases, so use the controls in your installed version, verify the current Renewed Vision manual, and rehearse the exact output screen before Sunday.

What you need

A Voco Church plan subscription (OBS and ProPresenter overlays are included)
A current, supported ProPresenter installation that can render a web page in the intended screen or stage layout
A live Voco service and the display URL for the required output language

Step-by-step ProPresenter setup

1Get your overlay URL from VocoIn your Voco dashboard, navigate to Integrations → ProPresenter and copy the Web Item overlay URL for your desired output language.
2Add a web page objectIn the editor for the intended ProPresenter screen or stage layout, add an object filled with a web page and paste the Voco display URL. Labels vary by release; follow the current manual for your installed version.
3Position the caption areaSize the object as a readable lower third or dedicated caption region and keep it inside the safe area of the actual output.
4Choose visibility deliberatelyDecide which looks, layouts, or cues should show the caption object. Do not assume an editor preview proves it appears on every audience, stage, or stream output.
5Test the full outputStart Voco, speak through the real microphone, and inspect the physical projector or confidence monitor from the back of the room. Also check any captured livestream output separately.

Multi-language captions

Voco supports separate overlay URLs per output language — you can display Spanish captions on Screen 1 and Mandarin on Screen 2, for example. Each language has its own Web Item URL in the Voco dashboard.

Troubleshooting

If captions don't appear: check that Voco is live (not in test mode) and that your overlay URL is for the correct language
If text is too small: resize the Web Item frame in ProPresenter to increase the display area
If the overlay flickers: ensure the ProPresenter computer has a stable internet connection
