Security, privacy, and Sunday trust
Churches should not have to choose between welcome and safety.
Voco is built for live church translation, which means protecting sermon transcripts, team access, attendee links, and billing without making Sunday morning complicated.
No model training on church transcripts
Your sermons, captions, and translations are used to run your service. They are not sold, shared as training data, or used to build public datasets.
Church data is account-scoped
Dashboard access is tied to your church account and team membership. Admin routes and billing actions re-check ownership server-side.
Stripe handles payment security
Payment methods, invoices, subscription changes, and cancellations happen in a secure hosted billing portal.
Delete transcripts when you need to
Church admins can manage service history and remove transcripts when they no longer need them.
Plain-English assurances
The things trustees usually ask first.
Voco is designed for a Sunday service, not for building a permanent archive of everything said in your church. The platform keeps the data needed to run translation, review service history, and support your account.
Audio is transient
Voco processes live audio to create captions, but does not keep raw sermon audio after transcription.
Transcripts have a retention window
Text transcripts and translations are retained for 90 days by default unless your church deletes an event earlier.
No attendee accounts
People reading the captions do not need to give Voco their name, email address, phone number, or password.
Data flow
What happens during a live service?
01
Audio in
A laptop microphone or sound-desk feed sends live speech to Voco.
02
Speech to text
Speech recognition turns the spoken service into short transcript segments.
03
Translation
Only the text needed for active languages is sent through Voco's private translation layer.
04
Delivery
Attendees read captions through your church link. Screen captions use the display URL you control.
05
Storage
Service history and transcripts are stored against your church account for review and export.
