Audio
Audio is streamed from the admin browser to Deepgram for real-time transcription. Voco stores the resulting text transcript, not the raw sermon audio.
Transcripts
Transcripts are stored under the church organisation in Supabase. Access is protected through account membership and row-level security patterns.
Translation requests
Voco sends source text to translation providers only for active listener languages. This reduces unnecessary processing and cost.
Operational controls
- Use team access instead of shared passwords.
- Rotate Signal API keys if they are exposed.
- Delete old transcripts from the dashboard if a church no longer needs them.
- Keep boosted words free of private pastoral information unless it is genuinely needed for transcription accuracy.
