Which plan should we pick?

Voco Starter (£6/week, £24/month) is for one main weekly service with one or two regular language groups. Voco Church (£12/week, £48/month) is for your normal church week: multiple Sunday services, the odd midweek, unlimited languages, screens, and a small team. Voco Pro (£22/week, £88/month) is for translation across the week: regular midweek meetings, small groups, event weekends, unlimited live hours, Signal API, and unlimited team seats.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes — every church can start with a 7-day free trial and no credit card required. The trial is long enough to test the dashboard, run a private audio check, create your QR code, and use Voco in a real Sunday service. We want you to see how it feels with your own congregation before paying, because translation is only valuable if your church can actually run it comfortably.

What if our first Sunday isn't perfect?

If your first service does not work as planned, email hello@voco.church. We will arrange a setup and troubleshooting call and help you reach a successful test. Your seven-day trial needs no card and ends without an automatic charge, so there is nothing to cancel or refund after a free first test.

Can I switch plans?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade from Settings → Billing as your church rhythm changes. A church might start on Starter for one service, move to Church when midweek translation becomes normal, then move to Pro for events, small groups, or a larger team. Changes normally take effect at the start of the next billing period, and there are no long contracts or penalties.

Do you offer an annual discount?

Yes — annual billing costs less than twelve monthly payments. The approximate display equivalents are Starter at £19/month (£228/year), Church at £38/month (£456/year), and Pro at £70/month (£840/year). Stripe checkout and invoices remain in GBP. Weekly billing remains available for churches that prefer a shorter commitment.

Are the usage limits hard cut-offs?

No. Voco does not cut your service off mid-sermon. Plans describe your normal pattern, not a hard wall. If an unexpected visitor needs another language or a service runs long, keep serving people. If your regular usage is well above your plan for a few weeks, we'll contact you and help you move to the right tier.

Why is Voco cheaper than some alternatives?

Voco is intentionally lean: a small, solo-founded team, modern speech and translation infrastructure, and AI-assisted tooling where it genuinely reduces operating cost. We do not price by attendee seat, and we avoid heavy enterprise overhead unless a church actually needs that level of support.

Can we use Voco for a conference or special event?

Yes. Occasional church events are part of church life and do not need panic-admin. If you are running a multi-day conference, camp, or recurring high-volume event with several sessions and lots of guest languages, contact us before the event. We'll either fold it into Pro/Network or arrange an event pack for that month.

We're a multi-site church or a network — how does pricing work?

Get in touch. Networks, denominations, and multi-campus churches often need central billing, multiple church workspaces, extra team permissions, event usage, and support for more than one local rhythm. Rather than forcing that into a plan designed for one congregation, we build a Network arrangement around your actual structure. Is it really unlimited attendees?

Yes. Every Voco plan includes unlimited attendees because we charge around the church's service rhythm, not the number of people who scan the QR code. Five people following translation or five hundred people following translation should not create a surprise bill. That matters pastorally: churches can put the QR code on screen, invite people freely, and not worry that a well-attended Sunday becomes more expensive.

Is Voco text-only right now?

Yes. Voco is built around live text transcription and translation because that is the fastest, lightest, and most dependable experience for ordinary church WiFi and attendee phones. Text also lets people read privately, adjust font size, and stay in the sermon without needing headphones. Audio output is on the roadmap as a paid add-on, but the core product is intentionally focused on live readable translation first.

What audio hardware do I need?

You can test Voco with hardware you already have. A laptop microphone or phone near the speaker is enough for a first private test or a small room. For the best weekly accuracy, run a clean AUX or matrix feed from your sound desk into a simple USB audio interface, then select that input in the dashboard. Clear audio matters more than expensive hardware; the goal is a stable sermon feed with minimal room noise.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. You can cancel from Settings → Billing at any time. There is no long-term contract, cancellation penalty, or awkward sales call. Your account stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, so your team has time to export anything it needs and plan the next Sunday calmly.

Is my data secure?

Transcripts are stored per church account with strict access controls. Your organisation can manage them in the dashboard, and attendees can see the live service they joined through your church link. We don't use transcript data to train models. You can delete transcripts from your dashboard at any time. See the Security page for the plain-English version of our data flow and providers.
